Chechnya Campaign may offer some explanation for what is happening around Ukraine’s major cities

Whilst we might be witnessing the last aftershocks of the Cold War, much is being written about the performance of the Russian military in the Ukraine.  It could be that Russia has made the mistake of refighting their last war without recognising the changes to the situation. These three articles from the Chechnya campaign may offer some explanation of what is likely to be going on around Ukraine’s major cities.
