In 2015, Leidos was awarded the Logistics Services and Transformation contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD). The 13 year, £6.7bn contract will transform the UK’s Defence supply chain. With the experience of Leidos, a global leader in scientific, information technology, engineering and technical services, the UK Armed Forces is now able to leverage best-in-class technology solutions that rival those deployed by leading companies in the private sector.

Leidos has brought together a skilled and experienced team of private sector defence and logistic partners with the global expertise to deliver digital transformation through its Logistics, Commodities, Services and Transformation (LCST) Programme. Team Leidos partners include:

  • Leidos Supply – Commodity Procurement and Contract Management
  • Kuehne+Nagel – Storage, Distribution and Freight Worldwide
  • TVS Supply Chain Solutions – Commodity Inventory Management
  • Agilty – Movement Support Services

Team Leidos now operates the commodity procurement, storage and distribution functions previously performed by the MOD’s Logistic Commodities and Services Operating Centre. Since 2015, the LCST Programme has delivered over £1bn products to the UK Military using cutting-edge procurement techniques and strong governance. That means getting everything from food rations to boots, exactly where they need to be, at the right price and at the right time. With an effective process for engaging the market, the Programme has driven equal opportunity to all suppliers across the Food, Fuel, Medical, General Supplies and Clothing commodity sectors.

The Programme is implementing technological advancements for one of the world’s most foremost military operations, while generating hundreds of millions in savings for the UK government and taxpayers.
